Dominique Tohme is a Lebanese lawyer and seasoned legal expert with over three decades of experience in private law, with specific focus on human rights, and international humanitarian affairs. He is a Partner at Maalouf, Abi Younes and Tohme Law Firm in Beirut, where his practice spans corporate and commercial law, litigation, taxation, labor, intellectual property, real estate, and specialized criminal defense, alongside a strong focus on human rights, migration, and refugee law.

From 1995 to 2025, Dominique served with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), most recently as Liaison Officer, advising senior leadership and engaging with Lebanese authorities on complex legal, political, and humanitarian issues. Over his UN career, he led legal protection teams, negotiated with government counterparts, contributed to legislative reforms, and represented UNHCR in high-level national and regional forums.

Beyond his professional practice, Dominique has been an active advocate for civil liberties and transparency. He has held leadership roles in Lebanese human rights and development organizations, including the Association pour la Défense des Droits et des Libertés and Entraide Liban.

Fluent in Arabic, English, and French, and proficient in Spanish, Dominique combines deep legal expertise with diplomatic experience, making him a trusted advisor on law, governance, and humanitarian affairs in Lebanon and the region.
